MOHARA is looking for an experienced Product Designer to join a motivated, inspiring and fast-growing Product team. As the Product Designer at MOHARA, you will have the freedom and flexibility to own and define the look and feel of exciting new products that we invest in and service on behalf of our customers. You should be passionate about working with different design techniques to find the right solutions to deliver world-class products which are intuitive and enhance their user experience. You should have a love for design and be able to use it to get your ideas across to different stakeholders - Users, Product teams, Writers, Designers, Engineers and the wider community. We want someone who is as much of a holistic product thinker as a well-rounded design practitioner. This is more of a generalist role, utilising a variety of skills, techniques, methodologies and frameworks which requires a balance of strategy, collaboration, adaptation, communication and the ability to make something a reality.


The UX/UI Product Designer will report to the Chief Design Officer and take ownership of customer-facing design solutions and experiences. You will have the autonomy to formulate an implementation plan and then deliver it and will have access to the broader Product, Technology, Marketing and Sales team in order to complete your job effectively.


Responsibilities:

Working closely with product managers, developers and writers to fully realise a feature or product

Conceptualising, wireframing and designing customer-friendly experiences and prototypes that are both intuitive and engaging solutions to complex design problems

Translate UX (structure) to UI (surface) according to platform-specific requirements and produce development-ready designs

Creation of visual assets and styles to best define a brand story, look and feel

Be the champion of the user's needs and discuss both benefits and hurdles of various design solutions with stakeholders, defending those that you believe in

Build product experiences based on data and analysis: perform desk and field research, build prototypes, conduct user interviews, and perform user testing

Participate in the facilitation and of design sprints and workshops

Actively run experiments to validate ideas and hypotheses

Continually keep yourself and the rest of the design team up to date with the latest trends, techniques and technologies

Contributing to the evolution, maintenance and adoption of our internal design system and project component libraries

Working with people who love building products and mentoring fellow design contributors through coaching and feedback


Qualifications & Skills:

3+ years of end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design experience for Android, iOS and web

A well-rounded, strong portfolio demonstrating your UX and UI design process and impact

Attention to detail, craft, critical and creative thinking

Strong creative problem solving, interaction design and prototyping skills and you're capable of conducting user research and visual design work

You love design; you're not satisfied with the status quo and obsessed with finding ways to improve!

Experience or interest in applying content, interaction and service design practices

Proficient in popular design tools (e.g Figma, Miro, Adobe). Working knowledge of Slack and Google Suite is an added bonus

Experience working in agile teams, with strong communication skills for articulating, discussing, and advocating design decisions with developers, writers and product managers

Illustration, 3D, animation and motion design skills are an advantage

Basic Tech Acumen and enthusiasm for innovation

Can cope well with ambiguity and adapt your approach to changing project needs or new signals from the business, user or team.

Excellent working knowledge of design systems, including Material Design and Human Interface Design

You are a team player and a quick learner.
