About MOHARA

MOHARA is a global venture builder and technology partner, committed to turning bold ideas into impactful digital products. We work with startups, venture studios, and scale-ups—from concept through to launch—providing strategic guidance and hands-on technical expertise to build products that create real value.

With a distributed team across the UK, South Africa, Mexico, and Thailand, we collaborate seamlessly across time zones to support our partners worldwide. Our hybrid business model blends service delivery with investment: in some cases, we earn sweat equity alongside our fees. This means our success is directly tied to the success of the products we help create.

We don't just deliver code—we’re invested in the journey. Our team values honesty, courage, and building strong, long-term relationships. At MOHARA, our goal is to help launch successful products and businesses, not just bill by the hour.

The Role

As a Project Manager at MOHARA, you’ll take ownership of planning, coordinating, and delivering digital product development projects. You’ll work closely with founders, developers, QA engineers, and designers to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.

This role is well-suited to someone with existing project management experience who is ready to take the next step in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day project operations, facilitating team collaboration, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting continuous improvement across the delivery process.

In return for your contribution, MOHARA offers competitive salaries, flexible working, medical insurance, and unique opportunities. These include the chance to work in our overseas offices (Bangkok and Mexico) for both short-term visits and longer, organised exchanges.

Core Responsibilities

With a focus on continuous learning and adaptability, the Project Manager will:

- Assist in planning and executing software development projects, including web/mobile applications and other digital assets.

- Work with cross-functional teams - designers, developers, QA engineers, and founders - to gather project requirements and create comprehensive project plans.

- Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful delivery.

- Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document key points to ensure clear communication among stakeholders.

- Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, including project scope, user stories, wireframes, prototypes, and test plans.

- Monitor project budgets, help track expenses, and report on financials to keep projects within budget.

- Participate in project review meetings, contributing insights and suggesting improvements for best practices in development.

- Support team members by scheduling meetings and organizing project-related materials.

- Collaborate with internal teams on resource allocation, ensuring teams have the tools and support needed to achieve project goals.

- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of project management methodologies, tools, and templates.

Requirements:

- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent educational background from a high-quality institution. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous but not required.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Project Management role.

- Exposure to technology or software development environments is advantageous, but not essential.

- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise tasks across multiple concurrent projects.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes across all phases of product development.

- Proficient with standard project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Slack, and GSuite.

- Familiarity with agile methodologies, scrum frameworks, and lean development principles is an advantage.

- Proactive and enthusiastic about digital product development, with a genuine interest in technology and innovation.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative, solutions-focused approach.

- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- South Africa working VISA or residency required.

Culture

MOHARA has a relaxed, informal, and trusting working environment. We often rely on each other for more than just project advice. We’re looking for people who are interested in more than a day job.

The individuals we hire are curious, have a point of view and know how to communicate it. They are also empathetic - to each other, to our customers’ needs, and also for the users for whom we build innovative products.

Our particular client mix means we look for people with the courage to push the boundaries of their abilities and our clients expectations, who look beyond what is asked of them to find new opportunities, who are authentic in their abilities and honest with themselves. We treat a client’s fledgling business like our own, and recognise the investment and passion that drives them.
